Luzern

One hour on a train and we are in Lucerne. We left Sunday afternoon and walked around this quaint tourist town. There is a castle on the hill above Lucerne with red neon sign announcing it. The day after David and I saw this I went to an art museum and the exact same scene we walked by hanging on the wall. The picture was taken from the river in the city alongside an art museum we passed the day before. The door to the art museum is made of heavy, old wooden boards alternately painted blue and white. It is striking. Unfortunately by the time we had arrived at the door the sky was dimming.

We instead took a lovely photo of Wasserturm and Kapellbrücke - the town's two most famous landmarks. Wasserturm=Watertower. Kapellbrücke=Chapel Bridge. The bridge is directly in the center of town across the lake connecting two sides of the old town. There are cool old paintings depicting events in Lucerne's history inside.
