Hubenstrasse.

Along the north side of Züri-berg lies a car free street of Hubenstrasse. Flanked by trees on the high side and by fields on the low it is a perfect stroll for people. A perfect home for badger, red fox, stoat, and the elusive hedgehog.

Hubenstrasse intersects a farm, a small field with barn to the high side, a large field kittycorner cityside. A small flock of sheep shorn in spring already fluffy coated. Nuzzling each other in sleep or running back and forth, bells jangling.

Just past the shaded stream and a small pool of water sit two houses. Single family home with trampoline, dog and cat. Single family farm complete with barn, horse, goat. The old owner in his electric scooter walks his horse on lead at weekends. A faithful black and white spotted goat, one horn grown sideways to the right, follows the two of them on Saturday up the street.

A second family stops to pet the goat. The husband strolls with wife and baby carriage. A toddler follows the dog. A small tawny kitten mews quietly behind in the shade.
